North West City of Flagstaff
Linwood is at the farthest northwestern point still within the City limits. It is located on Hwy 180 just across from Shultz Pass Rd. Lots are large and many approx. one acre. This quiet neighborhood has its own private park that is maintained and used exclusively for members of the Linwood homeowner's association. Directly across 180 from the neighborhood is access to over 100 miles of the best hiking, biking and horse back riding trails in all northern AZ. Valley Crest Located on the northeast side of Hwy 180 just before the turn to Shultz Pass Road. These 1990s single-story mid-priced homes are the perfect choice for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Directly behind this quiet neighborhood is access to over 100 miles of the best hiking, biking and horse back riding trails in all northern AZ. Lockett Park is a great neighborhood in the northwest part of Flagstaff. It is a fairly new subdivision starting construction on the homes in 2003. The homes in this area are somewhat high end generally over 2,500 square feet. Lot sizes are between 8,000 square feet and 1/3 acre. Lockett Park is not a large subdivision but there are normally a couple of homes on the market at any given time. Lockett Park also has some newer townhomes. They were built in the late 1990's. These townhomes make great second homes!
Mount Elden is an ideal location people who commute to the hospital (Flagstaff Medical Center). The area is between west Fort Valley Road and just east of Buffalo Park. The eclectic homes in this area vary in size. There are a few Condos and townhomes in the area at Beaver St. and Oak St. Prices of a single family home average around $280K.
University Meadows These condominiums are a student's dream. University Meadow is directly across street from NAU and next to Riordan State Park. They are primarily one and two bedroom units that were built in the late 1980s. UM is very popular with students and investors. HOA is about $200/month including community hot water.
Boulder Pointe was started in the mid 90's. It is in a great location of town with quick drives to Movie Theaters, shopping of all types, and restaurants.
Boulder Pointe features middle range priced homes and townhomes. Home owners in Boulder Pointe have enjoyed great appreciation in property value, which should continue in its trend.
Woodlands Area This area is between Boulder Pointe and The Woodlands Village shopping center. The residential properties in Woodlands Village are primarily condos and townhomes.
This is one of the most convenient locations. Just 5 minutes to NAU and 7 minutes to downtown by bicycle. Grocery shopping etc. is a very short walk. Prices in this area start at approx. $160K. for a 2 bed/ 2 bath condo .
